For more than 165 years, Louisville Water has had a plan. In the early days, the vision was for homeowners to abandon their outside wells and turn to indoor plumbing for drinking water.
Today, Louisville Water’s vision is to lead the nation with superior quality, service, innovation, and value.
Louisville Water has approved a new Strategic Business Plan, a blueprint for priorities in 2026-2030 and a structure to continue to deliver some of the highest-quality drinking water and reliable service. The Plan includes the most vital components of our work: outstanding water quality, reliable infrastructure, financial viability, community and stakeholder trust, being an employer of choice, business development and partnerships, and safeguarding employees, our assets, and the community.
A Plan for Success
Louisville Water is one of the nation’s premier water utilities and a key asset for the Louisville region. The Strategic Business Plan guides our work to deliver drinking water to nearly one million people daily.
The 2026-2030 Plan is an ambitious effort, developed with employee and stakeholder input.
